The most obvious main feature of San Francisco city hall is the Grand Staircase. Everyone wants their photo taken on and around this unique form of architecture. With over 10 years of experience photographing city hall weddings, we have probably tried just about every angle. There are positives and negatives to each view with some being so far away that the couple appears like a tiny part of the overall image. The image above is mostly that type of an image. As you can see, the bride and groom appear quite small in this photo, but we still love it because it shows off the Grand Staircase so well. As long as we provide the newly married couple with plenty of close up images, a few like this one will compliment their overall wedding album nicely. I also like this image because the bride and groom need to look up at the wedding photographer and this really can be very complimentary to any couple.
The image above is also one of the best angles looking down at the Grand Staircase. I love this angle because it allows you to see the pattern on the floor and the shape of the stairs. The round lower stairs are really what sets this amazing landmark apart from other central staircases.
